Scholarship Application InstructionsINSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING CALIFORNIA CAPITAL AIRSHOW SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
1. Qualified applicants must attend or be admitted to a college or university on a full time basis in the fall, 2008 semester. 2. There are two application types: current or returning college students who will be attending college in fall of 2008; high school seniors scheduled to graduate in winter or spring of 2008. 3. The application for current or returning college students is
• Current contact information. • All college transcripts, college major, and the student's current or most • Letter of reference from a community or business leader which can speak to the applicant's interests and abilities related to aviation, aeronautics, aerospace engineering, aeronautical mechanics, or other related fields. The letter should be on company or agency letterhead if possible. • Statement that addresses the personal career goals, educational goals, and work, military, or other experience related to aviation management, aeronautics, aerospace engineering, aeronautical mechanics and electronics, or other related fields. The statement should be between 250 and 500 words. • Parent or guardian signature if the student is not 18 by May 31, 2008
4. The application for high school seniors requires that: • Contact information be current. • Parent or guardian sign the application for any student who is not 18 by • Official transcripts be provided. Grades related to any college courses taken while the student is attending high school be included in the scholarship application in a separate GPA.
• Letter of reference from a community or business leader be submitted which can speak to the applicant's interests and abilities related to aviation, aeronautics, aerospace engineering, aeronautical mechanics, or other related fields. The letter should be on company or agency letterhead if possible. • Statement be completed addressing the personal career goals, educational goals, and work, military, or other experience related to aviation management, aeronautics, aerospace engineering, aeronautical mechanics and electronics, or other related fields. The statement should be between 250 and 500 words. • School counselor or teacher review the materials submitted by the student and provide additional comments about the student's interests and abilities related to aviation management, aeronautics, aerospace engineering, aeronautical mechanics and electronics, or other related fields. 5.
