The Art Department at Sacramento City College prides itself in offering one of the finest creative programs in Northern California. A staff of professionals practicing fine arts and crafts teach a broad range of basic and advanced art courses involving both theory and practice of fine and applied art.
Art majors and non-art majors, transfer and non-transfer students have the opportunity to work under the guidance of established artists-instructors. The department welcomes all students to apply and develop their creative interests.
The Amalia Fischbacher Fine Arts Building is under construction until May of 2011. The classes are being held in Temporary 1 and Temporary 2 until the new building is completed.
