TITLE VI-ATTENDANCE CODE

6.0 ASG attendance

6.1 Each ASG member must attend every meeting unless he/she notifies the President or Executive Council and is excused by the following criteria:
6.1.1 Illness
6.1.2 Official council business
6.1.3 Death or illness in the family
6.1.4 Emergencies.
6.1.5 Academics.

6.2 If an ASG member acquires FIVE (5) unexcused absences within his/her term, or THREE (3) consecutive unexcused absences from meetings he/she will automatically forfeit and be removed from office. Two (2) UN-excused tardies shall constitute one (1) UN-excused absence.
6.2.1 Leaving the meeting early, without prior notice, is considered one (1) UN-excused absence, unless excused for one of the reasons in section 6.1

6.3 Committee Attendance
6.3.1 ASG members must have consistent attendance at the meetings of one (1) standing committee.
6.3.2 Any member having more that two (2) UN-excused absences may be dropped from that standing committee.
6.3.3 Gross negligence is defined as non-compliance with this section, unless excused for one of the reasons in section 6.1.
