ARTICLE III
The Judicial power of the ASSCC, shall be vested in the Judicial Branch, which shall consist
of a Chief Justice and four Associate Justices. No person shall serve as Chief Justice who has not attained and maintained a grade point average of 2.5, has enrolled in less than six units at SCC, and has served less than one semester as a member of the SCC ASG.
Section Two:
2a. The Judicial Branch has original jurisdiction in all cases of controversy affecting the ASSCC and the ASG.
2c. All hearings will be in open session, however, all deliberations of the Judicial Branch shall be in closed session and private.
2d. The Chief Justice shall be parliamentarian of the Legislative Branch and the Cabinet, but shall have no vote in either of these bodies and shall not be counted for quorum.
Duties and Authority of the Judicial Branch serve as an Associate Justice who shall not have attained and maintained a 2.0 G.P.A. and be enrolled in less than six units at SCC.
2b. In cases of controversies between students or clubs/associations and the ICC, the Judicial Branch shall have appellate jurisdiction.
