Background
The Associated Student Government was started in 1922, and has served the students, performing a multitude of roles among student life.
While the Student Government did not start to pick up its advocacy of student rights until the early 1960s, it certainly did have much interaction in student life. For instance, the Associated Students, at one time, owned and operated the Student Center and hosted such events as Pioneer Day.
Much has changed over the years as the Student Government has become more tempered and focused on student representation. Currently, the students of Sacramento City College work hard to let the student voice be heard in all facets of the campus.
