Child Development Center
of Sacramento City College
Early Care and Education Opportunities for City College Students, Staff and Faculty
The Sacramento City College Child Development Center is funded through grants from the State Department of Education. The program is designed to serve student parents enrolled in classes provided by Sacramento City College. Families enrolled at the Sacramento City College Child Development Center must meet the conditions of these grants. To be eligible, the Child Development Center parents must be income eligible. (Priority is given to those families with the lowest income.) An ongoing interest/waiting list is maintained at the Child Development Center for each age group. Children are admitted to the Child Development Center once administration has determined that the family meets the eligibility requirements, and the Child Development Center meets the child's individual needs. The center also serves as a learning laboratory for Sacramento City College students studying Child Development and Early Childhood Education. Our goal is to offer a model program for the children and our students.
