Family & Consumer Science Department
Industrial and Production Sewing
Students enrolled in this certificate program will have the opportunity
for career specialization in production (industrial) sewing. Students
will develop skills and production sewing techniques for apparel,
interior design, and other sewn products.
Entry level jobs can be found in apparel production plants, interior
design workrooms and other sewn products businesses. The skills
students will acquire are necessary in theatrical costume and apparel
design, college and university programs, and production companies. This
program also provides the student for self-employment or
entrepreneurship.
