Course Transferable to UC/CSU
In this course students will examine the aging process with emphasis on social factors affecting and affected by an aging population. It includes an analysis of demographics, history of aging in America, social conditions, resources and support systems, employment, retirement, social class, and cultural differences.
There is a video series broadcast in conjunction with this course. The videos can be viewed online. Hopefully students will be able to rent DVDs through the Instructional Media Center in the Library. I am awaiting confirmation about this. Rental will be around $20 for the semester.

ONLINE COURSE Mandatory orientation: Click on the ORIENTATIONS link for the meeting date and time (based on your section number). Be sure to view the demonstrations prior to our orientation.
In addition to the course orientation the students will complete the assigned reading, activities, exams, and participate online using Blackboard.
