Course Transferable to UC/CSU In this course students will examine the aging process with emphasis on social factors affecting and affected by an aging population. It includes an analysis of demographics, history of aging in America, social conditions, resources and support systems, employment, retirement, social class, and cultural differences. There is a video series broadcast in conjunction with this course. The videos can be viewed online. Hopefully students will be able to rent DVDs through the Instructional Media Center in the Library. I am awaiting confirmation about this. Rental will be around $20 for the semester. Click here for a copy of the Fall 2008 course syllabus. Adobe Reader will be needed to view the document.
