ADDING A COURSE
Students
who are NOT ENROLLED include:
- students who are ON THE WAITING LIST; and
- students who just WANT TO ADD
- The above students must also complete the demonstrations and attend an orientation and be present
during the time add numbers
will be handed out (if there is space available) for the desired
course(s). No exceptions.
- Add numbers will NOT be available before Wednesday, January 20th, (see times listed by course below).
- Add numbers are FIRST given (in order) to students who are on the waiting list. If there is still room in the class, I will hand out add numbers to un-wait-listed students.
- If you are desperate to add,
check to see if there is space available in one of the cross-referenced
sections. It is easy to change FCS to ECE (for example) once you are enrolled in
the class. Please remember, that change cannot occur until I have the
add numbers at the orientation.
Spring Semester 2010 Orientations:
D2L will not be available to students until the January 20th Orientations.

*CAN'T ATTEND the orientation time for your class?
IF YOU ARE ENROLLED in one of my classes you can choose to attend an
orientation time that works better for you. Students who are going to take advantage of
this option must email me the following information 24 hours before the orientations:
- Which section are you enrolled in?
- Which orientation will you attend?
- Sign the class roster for your section- when you arrive at orientation.
If (for a valid reason)
(a.) the above Orientation options do not work for you AND (b.) you have
successfully taken an online course before, AND (c.) you are enrolled in one of my above sections-- you may satisfy the orientation requirement by viewing Dr. Coppola's "Orientation for Nutrition" online. (Give the online orientation several
minutes to load or else it will sound choppy.) You must let me
know you are taking advantage of this option via email. Also,
you are
responsible to log into D2L and to take the Orientation Quiz. D2L will not be available until orientation begins. The Dr. Coppola link is http://scc.losrios.edu/de/ITV_archive/fcs340/Nutrition_Orientation.html
