Computer: with Sacramento City College Logo Instructional Development Department mission:
to provide training and support to SCC employees in the development of technology-related skills and knowledge that lead to enhanced instruction and student success.

Some of our services include:

  • Technology workshops - Blackboard, Manila, ADA Accessibility, Microsoft Office, Web and multimedia development workshops are offered during FLEX and throughout the year. Our focus is the effective use of instructional technology. See our calendar for the current list of workshop topics and locations.

  • One-on-one assistance - Our New Media Lab (LR110) drop-in hours allow you to pop in and discuss any technology related projects you are working on (or would like to start). Meet with us to follow-up on workshop topics.

  • Project Consulting
Meet with us before you launch a project or initiative. We can assist you in planning the document templates (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), how the information will be delivered and processed. We can create special websites, Blackboard organizations or Manila sites for your project.

  • Web Accessibility help - We are versed in the laws and guidelines on how to make Web pages accessible to our students with disabilities and can help you ensure that your site is universally accessible. Visit the new self-paced tutorial. FLEX credit is available!

  • We are now blogging! Have we talked lately? You might be mentioned at
Teach + Tech = Nexus or on the New Media Lab Blog
