Late EnrollmentStudents enrolling late in your course will automatically be added the night they pay for the course. Payment triggers Peoplesoft to enroll students in Blackboard. Actually, only if faculty have requested their roster to be linked to Bb by the Bb Support Team using the online database at http://scc.losrios.edu/~bbsite.Sometimes you will want to add users to your course, a guest speaker, instructional assistant or a colleague. If you give permission numbers to students adding your course, they will automatically appear on your Bb roster 24 hours after they have paid their fees. Enrolling UsersEnter your course and go to the Control Panel. Under the User Management section is the Enroll User link. The most efficient search is by student/employee id because you are searching through the entire Los Rios user list. As a last resort, search by last name. Type the search criteria and click the Search button. Mark a checkbox beside the name and click the Submit button. This user is automatically enrolled under the student role. Changing the User RoleIf you are adding an IA or colleague that you expect to have access to the Control Panel tools, you must change their role. Under the User Management section is the List/Modify Users link. Search by id or name because you are searching only within this course. (At this point, I often just click the Search button without typing any criteria.) You will see a list of names and two buttons for each user: Password and Properties. Click the Properties button, scroll down to the Role and Availability section and click the radio button for the new role. At the bottom of the page click the Submit button. Sacramento
