Classroom 2.0

Sac City is excited to host the Classroom 2.0 workshop on Friday and Saturday, April 24 & 25, 2009. Attendance is free but pre-registration required. To register, sign-up for your Classroom 2.0 account at http://www.classroom20.com/ and use the RSVP link to register your attendance. Write a comment about what your interests are and indicate if you will attend both days or one day (Friday or Saturday).

9:00 am - 4:00 pm each day - Learning Resource Center (Library)

This is an opportunity to see how Web 2.0 tools can be used in your classroom. "What is Web 2.0?" you might be asking about now. Some people refer to the free online collaborative tools as "the read-write web." So the two important thoughts are FREE and COLLABOARTIVE.

The SCC Information Technology Committee and the Staff Resource Center is working with the Learning Resources team to bring this workshop to campus. We will be joined by other educators for the two day event.

Our agenda is posted as a wiki page at http://wiki.classroom20.com/Sacramento+2009+Agenda

Preparation: This is a bring-your-own laptop event. If you don't have a laptop with wireless capability, you are certainly welcome to attend, but there will be a limited number of publicly-available computers for use during the day. Snacks, drinks, and meals are on your own--there is a cafeteria and fast food nearby, or you are welcome to bring a bag lunch with you each day.

Flex Credit available to Los Rios faculty.
