WIKI on a Stick - Introducing TiddlyWiki

Were you can keep a personal journal on a flash drive in wiki format. You have heard of Wikipedia (the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit)? Now you can experience some of the joy of hypertext note taking without opening your thoughts up for all the world to edit. If you have a flash drive, bring it along to save your work. If not, you can send a TiddlyWiki as an email attachment.

If you use Manila for your own websites, you will appreciate the ease of use when keeping a TW journal using only the Firefox browser. That's right, no word processor involved. Your TW is completely portable from Windows to Macintosh computers.

iTunes -- A Study Partner in Your Pocket

A hands-on session in search of podcasts for your students or for you! iTunes is free software that includes the largest directory of podcasts. Participants will navigate and search iTunes for podcasts and learn how to add other podcasts to your personal iTunes player. Podcasts include audio-only, enhanced audio and video content. iTunes is available for Windows to Macintosh computers and an iPod is not required to listen to podcasts.

Go anywhere ... refine this Advanced Google Search for Podcasts in .edu sites by adding more keywords or searching within the results, because you do not want to visit all 816,000 hits today (March 30, 2007).

Not all the contents of my mp3 player are podcasts. Some are tracks from CDs. One of my favorite finds at NPR was about Skyler Pia's multicultural audio project to connect with a friend. Putumayo Records has published a great CD with his DJ work.
