We offer a wide variety of exciting courses in performance, vocal and instrumental techniques, theory, history, appreciation, MIDI, and audio production.  Recently, we added offerings in world music, including World Music Ensemble (main campus and Davis), Popular Fiddle and Mandolin, and World Drumming. For the Fall and Spring of 2006-2007, look for experimental courses in Classical Indian Fusion and Celtic Harp (spring)(MUIVI 495) and Music for Therapeutic Uses (MUSM 495), all under Special Topics.

As department chair, I feel priviledged to be part of a great team of professional musicians and dedicated teachers.  As you get to know us, you will find that each professor is working in the music arena - performers, composers, songwriters, recording engineers, film/TV composer, business agent etc.  Please drop by my office (A30) to introduce yourself and let us know what your plans are. Our main goal is to help you find the pathway to your goals.

Get info about the Courses I teach above (Knable's Courses).

Check out the Links tab for info and help with music theory and history and upcoming concerts.

I am using Blackboard, a course delivery to enhance my courses. If you are enrolled in one of my courses, please logon to http://blackboard.losrios.edu.  Use your student number and date of birth to start.  Once you are logged on, you will see a link to your course.

I hope you have a great semester.
