Online Classes
Here's a great Self-Assessment tool to see if an online class is right for you--just substitute English for Math where appropriate:

If you are trying to decide whether an online class is right for you, read the Before section.
If you have signed up for either my online English Writing 302 OR online English Writing 300 class, please read the After section.
Orientation times are listed in the SCC course schedule. Here are a couple of reminders:
- Orientation is mandatory--no exceptions. Students who do not attend will be dropped from the class roster.
- Students MUST attend their scheduled orientation for the appropriate section. The orientation room is very small with just enough computers for enrolled students--no "orientation swapping" is possible.
- Students MUST bring photo ID and proof of having met the course pre-requisite. See the After section for pre-requisites.
- I refuse to teach to "faceless" names; therefore I will be taking photographs of students at orientation--for my personal use ONLY. If you have a problem with this practice, please sign up for a different section OR bring your own photo (I will return it at the end of the semester) Here are a couple of photos of me:
