Fundamentals of Sewing
Pinking Shears: A beginning sewing student demonstrates the use of pinking shears as an edge finish.
Sewing Fun: A beginning sewing student displays a notch cut outwards on her pattern. Beginning Sewing
The Beginning Sewing course covers basic techniques for construction of men's, women's and children's clothing and a few home accessories. We will include instruction in the selection of materials and sewing supplies; sewing machine operation; instruction in reading patterns and simple construction techniques. This course is designed for the student with little or no previous sewing experience and may be taken twice for credit. One fieldtrip is required.
