Family and Consumer Science Department: Fashion Program
Pattern Adjustment and Fit
Fashion 370
In this course students
will study how to fit patterns using
accurate measuring procedures, and apply them to a variety of body
fitting challenges. Extensive pattern adjustment techniques will be
demonstrated,
practiced and applied to the student's own "basic dress" pattern
which will become the student's sloper for flat pattern design. Garment
fitting
techniques and refinements will be done through garment alterations on
a
fitting "muslin" of the "basic dress." This class may be
taken twice for credit.
