CAI Classes
Here is the basic information you need before signing up for a CAI math class. Please read this information carefully. If you have any questions please contact the Math/Stat Division Office.
Description: Computer Assisted Instruction combines lecture and online learning. CAI classes are taught in a computer lab and students are required to attend all classes.
Homework: Most required homework will be done on the course website.
Quizzes: Quizzes may be online or in class. Most instructors give weekly quizzes.
Other Assignments: You may have other assignments and/or projects.
Exams: All exams will be paper exams (not online).
System Requirements: You MUST have access to a newer IBM-type PC.
E-mail: When you register for the class website you must enter a valid e-mail account. This is the account that will be used to communicate with you. Be sure to check your e-mail on a regular basis. Your instructor will be sending important information to you both before and during the semester.
Course Website Access: Please contact your instructor for specific information. You will be required to purchase the course software and/or access to the course website.
Prerequisite: You must bring proof of meeting the prerequisite to the first class meeting. You may bring a copy of your assessment test or an unofficial college transcript showing a grade of “C” or better in the prerequisite class. You will be required to give copy of your document to the instructor. This copy will not be returned. We do not accept high school transcripts.
