Classroom Policies

Late Homework
Homework is due at the beginning of class on the date given in the syllabus. I accept no late homework after the next class past the due date. Late homework will be graded down one letter grade OR may not be graded at all.

Absences
Missing or being late to class will lower your grade. After three absences, I may either drop you or subtract 25 points for each further absence. Being late three times equals one absence.

Cheating
Cheating does not help you learn and may ruin your chance to get the grade you want. Students discovered cheating will receive an "F" on that test or quiz. Students who cheat may also receive an "F" in the class and/or be placed on disciplinary probation or suspension. Cheating includes the following:

  • copying from another's paper
  • submitting work that is not your own
  • alterning or interfering with grading
  • using unapproved resouces during an exam or quiz
  • getting answers from another student during an exam or quiz
  • plagiarizing the language and/or ideas from a published source

Special Needs
If you require any special physical or learning accommodation, please make an appointment with me as soon as possible. You can expect confientiality and cooperation regarding any special needs verified through campus diability centers.
