Finding a Placement
Most Service-Learning courses will require you to perform 15 hours of community service. Placements will vary according to the course you are taking and the options that your instructor provides. A few tips:
- Review your instructor's Service-Learning requirements (usually in the course syllabus.)
- Look over the types of placements in the Student Information Links under Service-Learning Course and Community Connections for ideas.
- Online courses will often provide online Service-Learning projects. Ask your online course instructor about these options.
- Inquire into programs and Service-Learning possibilities that are near to where you work, live and/or go to school.
