Transfer Admission Agreements

Transfer admission agreements (TAA's) are available between Sacramento City College and most CSU's and some UC's. Transfer admission agreements through the UC system include,Davis, Irvine, Santa Cruz, and San Diego. SCC also works in conjunction with UCLA for Honor students to have preference with admissions.

Transfer Criteria

Transfer admission agreements can be written once students have completed 30 units, with specific courses fulfilled while maintaining a specific grade point average. TAA's can only be written with a SCC counselor. Transcripts from previous college work, advanced placement scores and all records must be available before the counselor can review and write a qualifying transfer admissions agreement.

All TAA's have deadlines, criteria and specific classes that must be completed. Please meet with a counselor for all detailed guidelines.

Transfer admission agreements cannot be written for impacted programs per specific colleges and universities.

Transfer Course Info

Many of the CSU's and UC's have worked with California community colleges to develop course articulations. Articulated courses are lower division courses that are equivalent to those at the four-year institution and can be fulfilled at the community college level. These courses are for prerequisite and major subject areas, and a list can be accessed at www.assist.org.

Not every university has articulated courses with SCC and each university may have different requirements for the same major. Please check with your counselor to ensure the accuracy of courses.
